Shepley Engineers are looking for a post-Graduate with a degree in Mechanical Engineering to join our team based in Preston, Lancs.

Shepley Engineers have had a continuous presence on the Springfields site for 30 years, providing a range of decommissioning and ME&I services. We have had a continuous presence on the Springfields site since 1992. Upon mobilisation, our first project was the decommissioning, demolition, and land remediation of the former UKAEA Beryllium Plant. We then secured several large-scale decommissioning/demolition projects predominantly in the former Magnox fuel production facilities around the site. These projects require specialised techniques to ensure both the safety of the workforce and all other stakeholders. These projects remain live, and we are currently decommissioning the former waste treatment facility. During the early 2000’s, we began undertaking Mechanical/Electrical installation projects alongside the ongoing decommissioning works. We have successfully delivered a number of new build, re-purposing, upgrade and mechanical/electrical isolation projects across the site. Over the last 30 years we have decommissioned over 50 buildings and facilities on the Springfields site.

The successful candidate will be joining an experienced team with a proven track record of delivering projects within the nuclear sector across the UK.
