Due to continued sustained growth, Shepley Group are hiring a Head of Projects to oversee the overall governance and performance of Sellafield-based portfolio of projects and frameworks, ensuring efficient, compliant delivery against contractual commitments and performance KPIs. This role provides strategic direction, governance, leadership and oversight for the entire Sellafield project portfolio, ensuring consistent, outstanding delivery and continuous improvement of project management practices. They will hold project managers to account, proactively manage risk and change, and support alignment with Group Strategic Plan, joint venture partners and client expectations.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- Degree Qualification (e.g. Engineering, Business, Project Management, Construction Management, other relevant), or experience in Project Management position.
- Proven experience in leading complex infrastructure or nuclear projects, ideally within the Sellafield environment.
- Strong understanding of NEC contracts and framework delivery models.
- Demonstrable track record in managing project teams, driving performance, and delivering against KPIs.
- Deep knowledge of project controls, risk management, change control, and commercial governance.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence across multiple stakeholders.
Desirable
- Master Degree qualification (e.g. Engineering, Business, Project Management, Construction Management, other relevant).
- Chartered status (e.g. CEng, MAPM, MCIOB, MRICS) or equivalent professional recognition.
- Experience working within JV environments or multi-party delivery structures.
- Exposure to strategic planning and portfolio management.
