Shepley Engineers Win RoSPA Sector Safety Award
Shepley Engineers have beaten national competition to be recognised with the RoSPA Engineering Services Sector Award, highlighting the company’s continued commitment to excellence in health and safety across all operations.
The award, presented by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), recognises organisations that demonstrate outstanding standards and performance in health and safety management within their sector. This achievement reflects the dedication of our teams, whose proactive approach ensures the safety and wellbeing of employees, clients, and partners alike.
Health and safety remains a core value at Shepley Engineers, embedded into everyday working practices and supported by robust systems, training, and leadership. The RoSPA award acknowledges not only strong compliance but also the company’s ongoing drive to go beyond minimum standards and foster a positive safety culture throughout the business.
Pete Sempie, Shepley Group Head of Health and Safety Commented;
“These awards collectively represent a significant achievement and are a testament to the professionalism, commitment and shared values of our entire workforce. They reflect not just compliance with legislation, but the safe and responsible delivery of projects day in, day out, often in challenging and high‑risk environments.
From a health and safety perspective, this level of sustained recognition can only be achieved where strong leadership is matched by positive safety behaviours on the ground. It demonstrates that health and safety is not treated as a bolt‑on, but as an integral part of how we plan, manage and deliver our work.
The Engineering Services Sector Award recognises excellence in performance, while the Patron’s and President’s Awards demonstrate long‑term consistency and resilience of our safety management systems and culture. Together, they provide confidence that our approach to risk management, workforce engagement and continual improvement is effective and embedded across the business.
Most importantly, these awards belong to everyone across the organisation — from those planning and supervising work to those delivering it safely on site every day. They are a reflection of people looking after themselves, their colleagues and our clients, ensuring that every project is delivered safely and responsibly.
While we are rightly proud of this recognition, we remain focused on continuous improvement and maintaining the high standards that these awards represent.”
This continued recognition is a testament to the dedication of our workforce and the shared responsibility for safety across all sites and projects.
