Role

The purpose of this role is to contribute to the commercial & financial management and profitable performance of our portfolio of works, located at various sites around the country.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

The key tasks of this role include but are not limited to:

• Prompt presentation of all Applications for Payments, including all contractual entitlements.
• Prompt submission of Estimate / Tendering information to the client.
• Prompt presentation of Final Accounts.
• Preparation and presentation of Monthly Cost/Value Reconciliations and Final Cost/Value Forecasts.
• Procurement, negotiation and placing of Sub-contract Orders.
• Financial and Commercial Management of Sub-contractors through to settlement of their Final Accounts.
• Ensuring that all notices and information are presented in accordance with the contract requirements.
• Preparation of appropriate documentation in support of additional payment, variations, claims etc.
• Commercial support to the management team.
• Commercial support to the Estimating and Procurement teams.
• Liaison with the client on all commercial matters, including preparation and submission of supporting information.

Requirements / Criteria

Candidates for this role must be effective team players and should meet the following criteria:

• Be qualified to Degree level or equivalent and hold a degree of experience (+3-5 years)
• Hold previous Commercial experience within a contracting environment
• Preferably hold previous experience of working within the engineering sector
• Be IT literate in Microsoft Office applications, be an advance user of Excel.
• To process good communication skills
• Must be happy to travel to project sites and occasionally stay overnight (roughly one night per fortnight)
